HTNL Endorsed Videos and Podcast
It’s tough to find solid thinkers who are at the same time right and also entertaining. But, I would like to present two videos from Prager University. Prager University is sponsored and founded by Dennis Prager and provides a series of short educational videos from some of the best modern thinkers. The first talk is by Professor Peter Kreeft of Boston College, a thinker much beloved by the HTNL nation and a gem to the Catholic intellectual world:
In the wake of the tragic events that took place in Connecticut this past week, many people have been asking about good and evil, about moral and immoral, about right and wrong. Personally, I don’t have much to say about the vicious murders that took place. As a parent, some things shock you so much that you find yourself at a loss and leave you with a deep, terrible sadness. All I will say is that the act was evil and not just a result of upbringing or video games or gun laws etc. Evil exists, plain and simple. All we can do is pray very fervently for peace in our world, for comfort for the families and for an end to the senseless destruction of human life. We ought to think about good and evil in our world and how best to align ourselves in light of the reality of good and evil.
The second video is by a Professor at George Mason University, Walter Williams. Dr. Williams is an often read thinker by myself and many others. He makes economic issues easy to grasp and easy to understand:
Lastly, I have taken to listening to Russ Roberts’ Econ Talk during my 2 hours of commute time each day. Topics range from hyperinflation to raising children well to “Big Pharma” to ancient Greek monetary policy. Check out Econ talk, a project of the Library of Economics and Liberty for many wide ranging and interesting talks!
Cheers, dear readers.
