White Sox vs. Cubs

I am a Chicago White Sox fan.  Unlike president B.O., I have always been a White Sox fan and didn’t turn into one after they won the World Series in 2005.  So, the following video fills me with glee and happiness.

Apparently, after giving up 4 runs to the White Sox in the first inning, Carlos Zambrano (aka Big Z) was a bit perturbed and decided to go right out of his mind in the dugout.  Now, if I was an insane Latin pitcher, I would probably pick someone other than Derick Lee to scream at and try to attack.  Lee is rather huge and would probably stomp the heck out of anyone who tried to pull any shenanigans.

Of course, this wasn’t the first time Zambrano has attacked a teammate in the dugout.

White Sox won 6-0 by the way, their 10th victory in a row.  Earlier in the season, the White Sox took two out of three from the Cubs up at Wrigley Field and have now taken the first of a three game set at Comsikey Park (or ComINskey FIELD if you’re the president).  The two Chicago teams will face off on Saturday and Sunday as well.  Should be interesting.

This is classic summer!

UPDATE:  Zambrano is in the middle of a 91.5 million dollar contract and also has a no-trade clause.  He was suspended indefinitely after the game.  Uh ohhhhhh.

UPDATE 2:  Zambrano and the Cubs did the trendy thing and put Big Z into anger management…

UPDATE 3:  Major League Baseball has removed all videos from public forums, so you’ll have to find another way to see this lunatic go bazerk.

  1. At least the Cubs don’t have to pay him while he’s suspended… What a maniac!

  2. How many other teams have inquired about trading for him?
